@Willard, my hubby and I heading to Annapolis Monday late morning… I loVe a great Bloody Mary…drinking … we both loVe seafood… the water… the view .. fishing perhaps …(if they’re biting) staying overnight…what do u suggest

Most of the places are within walking distance in the downtown area, but Great Frogs would require a drive. There are quite a few parking garages/lots along West Street that would be conveniently located.

Thanks, Cheryl. This is our favorite type of comment to get because we always try to uncover some lesser-known things. We’re not locals, but as Philly residents, we come to Annapolis a lot, and we love your city 🙂

However, I want to make one thing very clear (cause I very regularly hear this from tourists) Annapolis is in NO way, shape, or form a “college town”. We house the Naval Academy which is an academy and not your typical underage college students getting drunk in their dorm. It’s a generational mix of a city; many retirees, working-class families, young yuppies, etc. There is an active young crowd that inhabits the downtown nightlife. A college town is explicitly an area where the demographic is dominated by the university population…hence College Park, MD (University of Maryland…wonder why the town name is called College Park). Sorry to rant, but I wanted to clear that up.
